AuSome Pals' First Year at Family Café Orlando

This year marked a special milestone as AuSome Pals participated in our first-ever Family Café conference in Orlando. What began as a vision to create friendship, confidence, and community for autistic and neurodivergent youth came to life as we connected with hundreds of families, advocates, educators, and service providers from across Florida.

Our founders, Dr. Shirley Sims and 7-year-old author Kali Gibbs, proudly showcased My Sparkle, My Way: Autism & Acceptance, met incredible families, and introduced attendees to the mission of AuSome Pals. From meaningful conversations and new partnerships to celebrating neurodiversity and inclusion, Family Café reinforced the importance of creating spaces where every child feels seen, valued, and supported.

We left inspired, energized, and excited for what's ahead. Thank you to everyone who stopped by our booth, shared your story, and became part of the AuSome Pals community. We can't wait to see you again next year!
